Fall: the dying season...

Yeah yeah, I know, if I don't like it here I should just move. Unfortunately where would like to move I could not afford, so… we're not just going to go there, okay. I'm old enough now that I am granted those complaining rights, shut your face.

Any who, this is the season where everything starts to get colder, and yes those leaves are very pretty, for time, but soon the the color fades, and they die, they fall off. That's why they call it fall, temperatures falling, leaves falling, essentially the sun is falling lower in the sky everyday. The color drains and everything turns into gray's and browns, leading to that atrocious four letter word that covers all the land in frozen whiteness. S-N-O-W.

Snow used to be our friend, when we were children, it was there to get us out of school, making playing outside tons of fun, being able to build forts throw snow balls, being able to dive around the ground and not get hurt thanks to all the fluffy snow, we had so much fun, but alas it was not to last.

Nope, we had to grow up, unfortunately snow did not. Snow used to get us out of school, but now it makes the drive to work a nightmare, breaking our backs trying to shovel the walk, or clear out the driveway. You really need to have two pairs of shoes, work shoes, and then your boots just to get around outside. You have to make sure you stay warm, plenty of layers now,  or you may get cold, & possibly wet, thanks to that snow thing. It's a real pain in the ass.

So basically fall is just a foreshadowing to my most hated season, such a damn downer, but I suppose I should look for the silver lining wherever the hell it might be, however small and minuscule it may be. Let's break it down shall we? What is good about winter? Knee-jerk reaction is: "nothing!", but again I will look for those nuggets. I suppose I do sleep a lot better when it is cold, having to generate my own heat & such, makes me sleep more soundly, that is a good thing I suppose. Less bugs is always a good thing. Some places have a better view without all those leaves obscuring the scenery. Clear, sharper nights due to the cold air, so the stars and moon look pretty cool I suppose.

That's really about it, I seriously can't think of anything else, nothing at all really… yeah, end of line.

I can't help it, I'll always miss summer when it's not around. The sounds; crickets chirping, thunder carried on a warm breeze. The warm temperatures; being able to walk outside without having to put a jacket on, even at night! Being able to have the window in my room/office open, or when driving around!  Summer is just great, I can't help it, I just love it.

I suppose in closing, there is one other thing that is good about winter, at least around here where I live. It's that snow is pretty much the worst thing that happens around here. We're lucky in the sense that we don't have a lot of other natural disasters happen around here, so I suppose that's one less thing worry about.

Bah humbug you som'bitches.

Looking back at...

...some of my favorite shows from a couple of years ago, I'd have to add Fringe, The Walking Dead, & Game of Thrones into the top 10 best. Damn good shows.

I have to think about posting...

So, haven't posted in a while, thinking about trying some new things here, maybe some short stories, or something else, something, indeed...
